The Caves of Drach are the best known underground caves in Mallorca. Mentioned in the novel “Clovis Dartetor” by Jules Verne, it can be said that this is a real journey to the centre of the earth. The spectacle of light and colour along the tour with the impressive stalagmites, stalactites and natural aquifers, make visiting these caves an experience to remember.
The Caves of Drach are four impressive caves (formed in the interior of carbonate rocks between 11 and 5.3 million years ago) located on the east coast of Mallorca, specifically in the town of Porto Cristo.
A huge lake, actually one of the largest underground lakes in the world, measuring more than 170 metres long and between 4 and 12 metres deep. In the lake, which now bears his name, a fantastic music concert has been held since 1935 and consists of classical music.

The Cuevas dels Hams, separated into three different caves, La Cueva Redonda, La Cueva Azul and La Cueva Clásica.
The Round Cave: This open space currently houses a spectacular botanical garden, green and full of life with many species of birds native to Mallorca in the wild. It is a special microclimate, with a natural temperature lower than outside and with unique vegetation.
In the “Blue Cave”, the documentary “Discovering the past” introduces us to the history of Mallorca, its first inhabitants, the formation of the Caves and their extraordinary discovery. You can admire the new and spectacular LED lighting, the “Blue Columns”, the “Plains of Fra Mauro” and the “Pit of Hell”, in whose auditorium you will enjoy “GENESIS, -The history of life-“, a dizzying audiovisual Time Lapse, from the Big-Bang to the present day, in a giant projection on the ancient rock of the Cave.
The Classic Cave: Consisting of 12 galleries. In the underground lake “Sea of Venice” the musical show is performed. It is one of the main tourist attractions of Mallorca.
Both tours have an interesting stop at the historic Pearl Factory, which has over a hundred years of experience in the manufacture of world-renowned organic artificial pearls, the factory has a multimedia area, luxury boutique with unique prices and a relaxing lounge bar.
